Even though it is understandable that ILLUSION may not be able to keep up with the vast number of personalities once provided in Koikatsu, it is sad to say goodbye to certain types of stand-out personalities like Yandere, Weirdo, and Tomboy, just to name a few. The voices more or less mimic typical Japanese schoolgirls and older women, which naturally works well with the game’s theme. ILLUSION has provided only the minimum amount of personalities matching the number of premade iconic girls featured in the game’s main cover art – That is 6 voices with each having Type A and Type B variations. The voice options do not seem to offer any significantly different or new personalities. With ROOM GIRL, the number of personalities unfortunately has not increased.
Since then, AI GIRL also gave the option to give life to its characters albeit with tremendously fewer choices, thus cutting back on the great feature. Introduced in Koikatsu Party for the first time, ILLUSION took a big leap forward by providing many personality options for characters, something that has not been seen in many other games in such volume with a whopping 30 personalities to choose from, not counting DLC that only adds more.
